Big Bummer :(

So I have been bummed out lately... I have misplaced our camera. :( Blogs get kind of boring without pictures... even if the picture has nothing to do with the blog entry, it at least breaks up the page. Anyway... I kind of wanted to let everyone know that Aubrey has come down with a cold. I don't know if it was from the cold weather or from kids being kids. I hope that none of you that have been around our little miss lately has come down with anything, like me :P Short ans sweet and I am off to bed. See you all later.

Fun Filled Weekend!!!

So by now everyone has posted how the weekend went with our BBQ. It was fun to get together with people that you know and love and catch up with the events going on in our lives. The last time we got together all of us was... who knows when... (over a year ago when we had a BBQ at Matt and Jill's house before they moved). That was only one day. This week has been filled with fun throughout. On Wednesday my parents went to California and had asked us to watch the dogs while they were gone. So Saturday we planned for the BBQ and had great fun with friends. I hope that we will be able to make time for our friends more often... even if it isn't all together. At least get together more often than we have.

Every month we go down for Sunday dinner on the forth Sunday of every month. That was this weekend. While watching the dogs, we were asked to visit the graves this weekend and put flowers for the grandparents graves. We visited four cemeteries and then headed to Orem. When we got to Paula's house Grandmother was there and it was wonderful to be able to tell her that visited her husbands grave. I find in interesting that for memorial weekend his family was unable to visit their grandfathers grave when they are close enough to do so. I loved seeing grandmothers face when we told her that we had visited his grave. We don't get down to see her very often but when we see her on the fourth Sunday each month I love to see her. And yesterday it was wonderful to give her some news that lit her face with joy. She loves seeing her grandkids and we really need to get down to see her more often. Ok So back to the whole Memorial weekend thing... Saturday my grandma called and told me that I didn't need to worry about her for Sunday dinner because we were invited to Paula's... well at that point I had told her that we were going to go do graves on Sunday and that we would get a flower to put on the graves she would like us to... but she told me that because my mom wasn't in town that we didn't need to worry about it. I feel kind of bad for her relatives that she usually visits. I feel as though we were willing to do the graves for her and she still didn't want to. Anyway... I had so much fun doing it this weekend.

Yesterday when Don and I were walking home from church, when we approached my parents house Don and I looked at each other and said we can't wait. We loved the feeling of coming home to a house. Don and I are waiting for the right time to buy... it hasn't come for us yet, but that means that when it does it will be even more sweet. I look forward to that day, but I love living the life that we have. Have a great weekend everyone.

Our New Goals...

Hey everyone... I am so excited about our new thing. A while back I started a business at home with Heritage Makers. I really enjoy doing the online scrapbooking and other things... like creating your own playing cards and postcards, and thank you cards, and calenders... and so on... it is just a blast!!! But with the people that I know it really isn't taking off all that much. So we are going to take the next step in our life. Don is continuing school in the fall but in the meantime I am going to start Beauty School and follow in my moms footsteps. I am going to be a hair stylist. I am SO excited!!!! I can't believe that I am actually going back to some kind of school. I never thought that I would. But Don and I have realized that like my mom, I can work and take care of my kids all at the same time. Also after talking with my mom... she is possibly retiring next year and I may take over her shop at the house and work there with no booth rent!!! Yea!!! Right now there is a lot of maybe's but it is all worth it in the end. I am just way excited for this next step in our family.

Great DEAL!!!!

Today I had to go in to work for an Auction, which... was a total flop.... we start the auction at 9 am, and no one showed up till 9:10, and then there was only him... so he got it way cheap. Anyway, on our way back home, Don and I saw this yard sale sign in our neighbor hood... I am a sucker for yard sales. We drove by and there was this cute little toddler bed... as we pulled up there was another lady asking about it, and I couldn't here the all the details that the owner was telling the lady. The lady walked away and so I asked the lady how much it was. It was a mere $10!!!!! Holly Cow! I couldn't pass that up. So now I just have to get her bedding for it. I am so excited to switch her to it. She is still a few months away from switching over but I am still excited that our little girl is growing up. She is so big now and she acts like such a big girl.

Family Pictures

Back in March Don and I wanted to get pictures for Aubrey on her first birthday. We decided to go to Target (they do great by the way, until that day...) When we got there they had given us a suggestion of doing a cake and letting her just go at the cake... great idea... bad pictures. The photographer took like 80 pictures of the CAKE!!! I don't want pictures of a cake, I want pictures of my daughter. Anyway.... so being the person that I am, I bought some pictures, when only 5 minutes later I went back and got a refund... Why would I want pictures of a cake? Can anyone explain that... so anyway a few days later I found a lady that would take our pictures and give us the copy rights... She was AWESOME!!!! Here are a few pictures from that. See you all later.

Happy Mothers Day!!!!

Hello everyone and Happy Mothers Day!!!! (A day late and a dollar short). Holly cow I can't tell you how excited I was to finally open my git from Don for Mother's Day. He got me two tickets to see Tim McGraw at the Usana Amphitheatre. I am SO EXCITED!!!!! My boss at work is such a huge fan that we are going to have a great girls night out... One minor detail, she is pregnant and due two weeks before the show. I told her that I would take her if I knew she would be feeling good enough to go and without hesitation she was so up for it. I am so excited to be going to his concert with someone else that knows the words to the songs as well as me. Don is so Sweet to have thought of that for a gift. He is so sweet to me. Anyway I hope you all had a WONDERFUL MOTHERS DAY!!!!
