New Adventures

So I am very excited to share with you my new adventure this evening. We were having a normal dinner of some stir fry... nothing too exciting... so lets spice it up and make some cheese wantons. Holy cow did they turn out amazing!!!
Of course our little munchkin enjoying the great add on.

One of my favorites... a head shot... ok a forehead shot. :) Peek a boo, I see you!
So this picture reminds me of the musical movie of Cinderella with Brandy and Whitney Houston, where Brandy sings "In My Own Little Corner." Well this is Aubrey's corner. She loves to sit in there and play with dads wooden sword... the one that he uses with martial arts. Enjoy the pics and have a great evening everyone.

Saturday was another wonderful day with the family, and it almost proved to be another didn't hear Aubrey for a while situation... but instead we found her standing on daddy's computer chair ready to play the game. She was doing what daddy does while playing his game, pounding on the keyboard and moving the mouse. She has been watching dad play one of his new games for a while and so she is catching on so quickly. I may have a computer babe on my hands.
And I am sorry if this picture offends some of you but it was too cute for me to pass up. She has learned to play in the water like a fish. She lays on her stomach and moves her arms and legs around like she is floating on her stomach. I love watching her play. Bath time is a great time in our home. It is a must, and she is even trying to take showers. We have to start locking the doors now so that she won't just jump in the shower. :) Fun time and there is only going to be more time just like this one. Hope everyone is doing well and we love you all. Have a great and safe week... and hopefully now that I am caught up in blogging it won't be another month before I post again. I hope that you all read on about the Pink Christmas and see if you can. I think it is a great way of spreading you love and cheer for the holiday season... and to think that it isn't that far away.
Ok so I just had to take that picture. Aubrey just woke up from her nap this morning and her hair was totally a mess. The top was the worst.... it was just a wirey (I am not spelling champ) mess, not bad enough that we had any problems other than the normal snarl's.
And then later on today, we found little miss Aubrey sitting in her bed without having help getting up. We were so proud... downfall, the way we found out that she was in her bed was that she was whining for us to come help her get down. I think this is part of the after math from when she fell down the stairs at Grandmothers... a whole fight... not the half thing. She was fine but I think the timidness is finally rearing his ugly head.
Another fun picture of little missy. And so if you haven't noticed... Aubrey is now in a big girl bed. She is doing so well and I am so proud of her. She is adjusting so well to the new bed. She is sleeping all night, most of the time... there are those few nights that she wakes up with a ad dream or something, but she goes back to bed with no problem.
And we are so excited to see Jeff and Ann and the family in these coming few weeks.

The second Sunday in our family is spent with my parents and we usually go up to Bountiful, but this month they came down to our place. We had Steak and veggies and something else but the importance of this was that we had bbq sauce for the steak and Aubrey likes to dip things. So we gave her her steak and she started to dip it into the bbq sauce, then was all started talking and not paying attention to Aubrey. I looked over and there she was... hands covered in bbq sauce with it in her hair on her face and all over the chair. Such fun... needless to say it was bathtime.
For a week in July Don, Aubrey and I stayed down in Orem with Grandmother Jordan, and it was a blast. It was great spending time with Grandmother and getting to know her. She loved her job that she claimed... the dishes. Go for it Grandmother. Her ward was so kind in donating time for Grandmother while I worked and it was wonderful being able to meet them.

Aubrey enjoyed spending time with her and she loved being there. I loved Monday when we got there and when we walked in the door it was like Aubrey was home. She just started playing and talking and dancing every chance she got.
So Don and I learned a very important lesson with kids this last week. If you don't hear them for a while... you better check on them... and this is what we found.

Aubrey had found the big box of cutips and had so kindly pulled all of them out of the box. In the end when Don and I started putting them back in the box, she was eager to help. Lets just say we learned our lesson.

Belated 4th of July

Hey everyone... ok so here it goes, catch up time. Lets start with the forth of July. We had an wonderful time with the fourth of July parade up in Centerville. This was Aubrey's first parade that she has seen in person and she loved it... all except for the firetrucks when they went by with their loud sirens. She likes them when she hears them anywhere else.
This was when the Sirens came around. Aubrey was clinging for dear life. There was a family next to us at the parade that brought some doughnuts and Aubrey got away from us and grabbed one. She ate all but about three bites... so the whole thing. Wow! I didn't know her tummy was that big.

This is sharing with daddy.
And this was watching the bagpipers go by. Boy did she love to dance with the bagpipes music. She also loved the bands that went by and then anything playing music. She is our little dancing babe and I know we have a balerina on our hands. :)
And here are the wonderful Otter Pops that they gave out. They are such a wonderfl treat for kids on a hot day.
