Event of the weekend...

What a crazy moment... I can only remember the Q-tip incident and how I told myself there would be no more of them... Hahaha... I was wrong. And there are probably more to come.

Weekend Bliss

Hello everyone. What a great week it has been. Weekend filled fun. This weekend was Swiss Days in Midway and there were some great items that I would have loved. It is fun to see what stuff people can come up with. Here are come cool things. I thought these would be fun for your kids portraits.
And this would be great for your family portraits.
And these were awesome! These would make a great statement (if this is the statement that you are going for). My mom and I thought this would go great on our property.
When I saw Aubrey reading her book, I just had to capture that. I wish that there was more that I could say but it was just too cute to pass up.
One day Aubrey just started clicking her tongue. It is amazing how fast kids pick things up and catch on. Oh and don't you just love the ponytail on top!?!?!? Fast easy and doesn't last all that long... as you can see. This picture was taken after an hour. :)
She is growing so fast that she is into her next size of clothing for jams. I can't believe that I am buying 2t jams for her. I know what I can hear you saying... 2T.... Wow!!! Well hey I can't see buying one size at a time when they grow out of things so fast. They are a little big and some of the pants are falling off of her, but hey a little alteration never hurt anyone.
She just looked too cute... I had to snap a shot.
And this one is of mommy and little missy with our matching hair bands. I love these head bands from Pink Bench. They adjust to fit any size head. And there are sooooo many designs and options with them.
We took several pictures with her headband on, but this one she was actually smiling while I took the picture. Anyway, isn't she just the cutest... ok I am biased.

New Purse!!!!

Ok so here are the pictures of the purse that I won and how big and universal it is. Thanks again Lila... this is the best purse/diaper bag I have ever had.

Sadness Today

None of you guys knew her, but I felt I had to do something. She was the greatest. This morning my mom called mom on the way to work and told me that my elementary school librarian passed away. She had a huge family that loved her... and by hugs I mean huge... all of those elementary school kids are sure thinking of her. She had a wonderful impact on kids and people in general. What more to say except she was the best. She had the greatest voices for storytelling, which when she was the librarian, that was my favorite time of day. This is kind of a way of saying thanks... I know she is watching and loving it of how she was remembered.

School

First day of school was yesterday. Teacher for "Communications in the Workplace" didn't even show up. I figure I will go to class again Monday and if there is still no teacher at that time I will have to do some class rescheduling. I have to maintain a full time schedule or financial aid will bite me.

Second class of the day, "Economic History of the US" looks like it is going to be a really fun class. From the syllabus I figure there will be a lot of homework but the teacher is cool. Downside is that it is a three hour class twice a week. All for three credits. Blegh.

Speaking of Financial Aid; Being the pain that they are, I still haven't received my full aid and so I can't afford any books or supplies. How am I supposed to read Chapters 1 - 3 for Economics by Monday? This is also not to mention that the SLCC library does not carry any class texts. They only supply supplemental texts.

Oh well, that's school for ya. Hopefully this all pays off. Have a wonderful end of the summer everybody. I'll try to post here in the family blog more often.

Total Fun!

So hello everyone. it has been a few days since the last post and a LOT has happened. First off... that purse down a few entries, well... I WON it. I am so excited. When I got home today there was at least an attempt to deliver it, but i wasn't home... bummer! So tomorrow I will get it... WAY EXCITED!!!!

Second... our little missy is getting so big that this week we got her, her very own big girl bed! I can't believe that she is already moved up to that big stage in life. We were not worried about how she would change to the big girl bed, but in the week that she has been in it she has fallen out two times... almost a third. So we have borrowed a bed rail from my brother, and tonight is the first night... so we will see how it goes. Hope for the best.

And this week begins the dreaded back to school. I feel like I need to take Don shopping for his back to school clothes and supplies like what your mom would do for you and blow that 300 bucks or so. I remeber that and I loved it. I don't think that Don would be so happy with that, but I think it would be a blast... Take the eveing to ourselves and just head out.

Ok, so I have really gotten into this whole blogging thing, but I am so LOVING the contests. Over at MomDot they are doing an amazing month of giveaways, well contests. I have been lucky enough to win two wonderful prizes. They have announced another one, and I have had my eye on this for a while, just waiting for the right time to buy one and now I may not have to YAY!!!! Keep your fingers crossed.


So the big giveaway is on MomDot for a Blooming Babies self inking stamp. I am so tired of writing out my name on envelopes, that this would be a life saver. Anyway I hope you all get a chance to look at it and enter.

Who's Got Talent!?!?!?!

So I love this blog. I check it almost daily and it is amazing to see what a mind can make out of almost nothing... well not nothing but funky, fun fabrics and go together, but what to do with them...
